Democratic lawmakers in Oregon opened the door for when The People voted for NO gun control & the legislature, under the influence of out of state money, legislated it, in contravention of the Will of The People.

It's ALWAYS the Democrats galvanising/radicalising the right. 👇
"In November 2024, Missourians voted to restore abortion rights, enshrining them in our state constitution. This historic decision reflected the will of the people, overturning our state's incredibly restrictive abortion ban.

However, just this week, the Missouri State 👇
House advanced an amendment that seeks to repeal this voter-approved measure. If passed, this amendment would ban most abortions after 12 weeks. This is NOT what we voted for !"

90% of men FAIL the moment a woman tests them.

Don’t be that guy.

Here’s how to pass her tests like a king 👑🧵Image
1. “I have a boyfriend.”

Why she says it:
She wants to see if you’ll lose confidence and walk away.

How to respond:
Stay cool. Smile.
Say, “Oh, is he taking good care of you?” with a wink.

Result:
You show you're unfazed — and even a little bold.
2. “Are you always this cocky?”

Why she says it:
She’s testing if you're genuinely confident — or just acting.

How to respond:
Laugh and say, “Only around beautiful women.”

Result:
You stay playful, not defensive.

The student loan crisis was created by gov’t-backed, non-defaultable loans. No sane lender would give 18 year olds six figures for useless degrees. Now a generation is drowning in debt, blames capitalism, and turns to socialism all because they trusted bad authority figures.
🧵
Before the 1960s, college was rare, affordable, and actually meant something.
You could pay tuition with a summer job.
Degrees were elite. Then came federal loan programs (starting with the 1965 Higher Education Act) and everything changed.
🧵
With gov’t money flowing, colleges had no reason to control costs.
Tuition exploded far beyond inflation.
Schools lowered standards to pump out more graduates, selling degrees like used cars.
Meanwhile, kids were told: “Just go to college. Any college. Any degree.”

1/n US federal law and state govts have for years added a surcharge to ALL elec customer bills. That money is given to solar cos to install panels free of cost to those who decide to sign up. They will still pay monthly fees - only installation is free, & the contract is binding.
2/n Now this federal mandate to move homes to solar was *strengthened* by Trump 1.0, contrary to public rhetoric. Speaking with a solar co manager about this, he said it has been a long term strategy to free up a grid capacity for AI data centers. Been in the works for years.
3/n The idea is that homes with solar (+battery) can become self-sustaining AND contribute excess output to the grid. The problem is that solar installations stop once an area is saturated - because not all homes are actually fit to uave it installed, even if they want to opt in.

Why Monasteries Saved Europe (and Might Save It Again)

When Rome fell, the world plunged into darkness.

But hidden behind stone walls, a miracle of preservation began, to preserve civilization itself.

This is the forgotten power of the monks, and why we may need them again 🧵 Image
Image
As cities crumbled and warlords rose, monks like the Benedictines didn’t run for power.

They ran for prayer.

In remote forests, swamps, and mountains, they founded monasteries, tiny islands of order in a sea of chaos.

They weren’t just hiding.
They were saving the future. Image
While warlords burned libraries and kings forgot how to read, monks painstakingly copied the Scriptures, ancient philosophy, science, and medicine by hand.

Monasteries became living libraries, preserving:
>Aristotle
>Augustine
>Roman law
>Agricultural manuals
>Classical poetry

Without them, Europe would have lost almost everything.Image

As an Albertan -- and, like Licia, someone who was born and raised in different parts of the country -- I feel compelled to weigh in here.

A thread: 🧵
Andrew is right that Corbella is misrepresenting the facts on C-69 and Gateway. That's par for the course here.

Indeed, it's *central* to understanding the argument she's making. It depends on a wilful misrepresentation of the past, one designed to keep Albertans angry.
Her argument depends fundamentally on the notion that the emissions cap is, in fact, a *production* cap.

This is what the industry wants people to believe. Gee, I wonder why? Image

/1🚨BREAKING — AFL has filed a bar complaint against NY Attorney General Letitia James following a DOJ criminal referral.

The complaint alleges she committed mortgage fraud spanning decades by falsifying bank documents and property records for government aid and favorable loans. Image
/2 On April 14, 2025, U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director William Pulte sent a criminal referral to DOJ, alleging AG James repeatedly “falsified bank documents and property records” to obtain “government-backed assistance” and loans with “favorable loan terms.” Image
/3 FHFA’s criminal referral lays out serious allegations spanning two decades, stating AG James may have violated:

➡️ 18 U.S.C. § 1343 — Wire fraud

➡️ 18 U.S.C. § 1341 — Mail fraud

➡️ 18 U.S.C. § 1344 — Bank fraud

It's actually pretty amazing. Look at every decolonial struggle in the last 70 years, and you'll find the DPRK firmly on the side of the oppressed party. Vietnam, Palestine, Algeria, Cuba. By 1971 it was estimated they had trained over 2000 guerillas from 30 different countries
They've sent pilots to Iraq and military aid to Syria. They supported Zimbabwean guerillas in the struggle to liberate Rhodesia and supported the FRELIMO in Mozambique
this is what makes me proudest to be Korean. Not the success of Kpop or the capitalist metropolises of the South. The fact that we have had little to no history as colonizers
And the DPRK's firm support of the Third World

1/ Russian soldiers' chances of being evacuated from the battlefield are now virtually non-existent in many parts of the front line, according to a Russian military doctor. The prevalence of Ukrainian drones, cluster shells and remote mining is blamed. ⬇️
2/ The 'Visiting Doc' Telegram channel describes how the work of evacuation groups in many frontline areas is no longer possible:
3/ "We have gradually come to the point that the story that used to be [present] in some areas has become a mass phenomenon.

The work of evacuation groups on the front line has practically ceased.
