See AllA few suggestions (amazing App!)
In my honest opinion I do recommend this app for TikTok and stuff one thing i really wish was added well like on the iPhone X the tongue would stick out and on here it doesn’t I would love to see that feature on this app! Also it would be cool if you could put food in your mouth like say like I was eating and I wanted to make a video of me eating well I really think that would be cool😁. Also I think it would be cool if you can connect this app with the app TikTok because say I wanna make a video on TikTok with the emoji I could press that and make some cool videos. Thanks you reading my suggestions and I hope some of these will pop up in the future. Love from you fan, Emma
Take a tip from an expert
I’ve been a 3D artist for almost 30 years. I’ve used a lot of 3D software and apps. I’ve also been using Shapeyard for about a year now. Here’s a tip from a veteran in the industry: This app is NOT worth the price! I’ve watched Shapeyard change several times over the last year. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been for the better. One thing that has stayed consistent is the many, many crashes that happens when trying to use it. Additionally, the limitations are beyond frustrating. It feels like the simplest of features are missing, and the ones that are there are incredibly frustrating. Another thing that really bothers me about this developer is that they have become dishonest. Several of the images they have on here were NOT created in Shapeyard. I can guarantee that the devil mask and elephant were not created anywhere near this app. I’m also 99.9% sure that most of the positive reviews on here are not real. Here me out, for the price of less than 3 months of a subscription for Shapeyard, you can buy Nomad Sculpt and do hundreds more things than you can do in Shapeyard - no subscription.

Dear Darbble,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for using Shapeyard over the past year. We truly value honest reviews like yours as they help us grow and improve.
As a small, dedicated team of developers, we’ve been working tirelessly over the past two years to create the best possible 3D modeling app for iPad and iPhone. We acknowledge the current limitations, and we’re committed to addressing them. In fact, we’re excited to share that our upcoming December release will introduce essential features like snapping and vertex editing, which we hope will enhance your experience.
Regarding crashes, the majority of our users currently use iPad 9, and our primary focus has been to resolve issues on that device first. However, we’re aware of the challenges on other devices and have a plan to address them during the upcoming winter months.
Looking ahead, our ultimate goal is to make the core 3D modeling features completely free. To achieve this, we need to continue improving the app and adding more features to establish Shapeyard as the leading 3D modeling tool. While a subscription model is necessary at this stage to sustain development, we aspire to transition to a freemium model in the future.
We’d love for you to continue following our journey, and we’d be happy to provide you with a promo code for the app so you can explore our progress and, hopefully, see improvements. If you’re interested, please reach out to us at hello@shapeyard.org.
Thank you again for your insights and for being part of our community.
Best regards,
Team Shapeyard
Seriously unserious
Much like it’s documentation, this app is extremely non-existent. I mean simple. You take primitive shapes and mush them into each other. If you want to adjust them, there is a “Bend” button that slightly mushes them in one pre-determined direction. Yay. If you are patient enough to mush and bend an appropriate number of shapes together, you CAN come up with a shape that resembles an object others may recognize.
At the end of the day, it’s just a different way to work in 3D. But if you have experience with more traditional 3D apps and their workflows, working with Shapeyard is going to feel like trying to make a PowerPoint presentation using crayons and Play-Dough. As one of those people, this app is a massive disappointment.
Buy Nomad Sculpt for yourself. Buy this for a nearby child or it’s adult equivalent. Give the both of you two hours to work. If the child comes up with anything halfway decent, steal it from them by exporting it as an .obj, load it into Nomad, finish it off there. 👍
