- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2023These growth hack tips are at least ten years old. I can't believe this is still selling on Amazon. Growth hacking is improving every week if not every minute. And Amazon should retire this print for good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge a book by its cover - especially not this one
Whilst this book contains some useful information, the title is rather misleading.
These aren't 'growth hacks', but general marketing tips, mixed with a few bits and bobs of generic SEO knowledge, e. g. 'use video content on your page'. I can't speak for Sean Ellis or Ryan Holiday, but their idea of growth hacking seems to come across as very different to what is preached on the pages of this book.
Last but not least most of the 'growth hacks' in this book are simply a collection of subscription websites á la 'pay for a Moz subscription and you'll have access to a lot of metrics'.
It also looks as if this book was an interactive PDF before as the authors keep mentioning 'read below' (the content is on the next page, not below) or 'you can find xy here' (with 'here' probably being a link in the original file and no further written link anywhere on the page).
The arrangement of text and typography also feels a bit unfinished and rushed.
A bit disappointing really, but 2 stars for introducing me to some useful sites (not growth hacks).

4.0 out of 5 stars De bonnes choses à appliquer

3.0 out of 5 stars Te descubre herramientas y poco más

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!
Amazing book!!! I would give them 20 stars if I could. I am a student in entrepreneurship and I haven't been put in contact with sources as resourceful as this one. It's my new handbook, and I go back to see it almost daily.

2.0 out of 5 stars A (literal) one-time read
I am very disappointed by the quality of this book. Not so much its content, but the actual quality of the book. Every page I turned disconnected from the binding, which means I now have a bunch of loose pages ...
Besides that, this book is an okay-ish read if you're just now jumping on the growth hacking bandwagon or are new to digital marketing in general.
Most of the "hacks" listed in this guide don't deserve to be called hacks IMHO, which just further proves that the term "growth hacking" ranks in the top 10 of buzzwords constantly abused by marketers. Calling "Add a video to the background of your site" a hack pushes the boundaries of good taste.
Again, this book should probably be an okay-ish read if you haven't done any research into the topic.
