SECURITY

Passible encrypts your data with the same AES-256 mechanism used by banks and militaries to secure their data. AES is the world's leading standard, it's uncracked, and widely accepted as the strongest encryption there is. The key that encrypts your data is unique for you only, and is derived from a personal private key, as well as a system key. Data is always kept encrypted and to make it even tougher, if the wrong passcode is entered then a theft protection mechanism is activated forcing timeouts between passcodes.

This means that except for you, no one else can see your data, including the us, Apple, hackers, or the NSA.

Passible is the best and most secured mobile password management app of its kind. We take extreme measures to protect your data. If you have never used a password management app before, you should know that Passible is by far, more secure than any other system or method that you can come up with on your own. If you are considering which password management app to use, you should know that Passible was designed from the ground up to be a modern, top level security app. The best of its kind.

  • How does Passible secure my data?

    It secures it using AES-256 Bit encryption + a hashed personalized private key. This means the following:

    • Passible creates a unique identifier for you
    • Your identifier key is combined with other data and passed through a one-way hashing algorithm that creates a secret private key
    • This secret private key is then used to encrypt your data using an AES-256 encryption mechanism
    • Your data is then kept encrypted on the device, and every time you need to access it your secret private key is regenerated, and the data is decrypted on the fly

  • Can someone else access my data if my device is stolen or lost?

    No they can't. If they don't know your passcode, they will never have access to your data. Moreover, if they try to guess your passcode, Passible will recognize this and activate theft protection. Theft protection will force a five minute wait time between each time they try to enter your passcode. Just for safe measure you can remotely erase your other device.

  • What if someone tries to access my stuff by guessing my passcode?

    Theft Protection is activated. Its super secured - see above :-)

  • Can Passible employees access my data?

    No we can't. We don't have access to your data. We also don't have your automatically generated key, and therefore couldn't do anything with your encrypted data even if we had it (which we don't).

  • Can someone see my passwords while I'm using the app on WiFi?

    No. The app does not transmit anything that is unencrypted, ever.

Secure Backup

Secure, encrypted backup that runs automatically - there is nothing you need to do. If you ever lose or break your device, reset your device, upgrade to a new device, or even mistakenly erase the app - we got your back. Your data is safe and sound on the iCloud servers. Just download the app to any device, enter your passcode, and your data is ready for you. It's encrypted using the same AES-256 mechanism used by banks and militaries. Multiple Device Sync

It might be easier to browse the web on your iPad, but on the other hand your iPhone is always in your pocket. Now your passwords and credit cards are on both - with zero effort. Use as many devices as you want, and your information will be synced between them automatically. Enter new data on your iPhone, and it's there for you on your iPad, iPod, new iPhone, and so on. Theft Protection

Suppose someone other than you tries to get into the app several times in a row by trying to guess your passcode. Passible Pro recognizes this, and erases the data from your device. If your device was stolen, this is an extra measure of security. If it's not stolen, you will be able to retrieve your data with your passcode.

    That sucks. We don’t do that. And in any case, we don’t even have your personal information.
