Mailbrew works exceptionally well for my news consumption workflow and it's great for my mental health since I actually feel rewarded for staying away from social media in the afternoon. Mailbrew is one of my favorite services of 2021 so far, and I'm excited about its future direction.

Mailbrew lets you subscribe to everything from Hacker News to RSS-friendly sites like Daring Fireball to a throttled intake of Twitter and Youtube and get it delivered via email. You mix these sources together in brews, which you decide how often you want, and thus control both the when and the how-much you're interested in reading. In advance! Allowing you to set the budget before you reach the casino. The days literally seem longer. In the best possible sense. There's both more time to do more of the things I want to do, but also no attention spent on "everything from everyone all the time". It's been a complete revelation.

I was seriously considering building a service to do this. I'm tired of Twitter FOMO. Now: one email per day with stuff I should know about: top links, and the best content from people I follow. Very, very happy the Mailbrew crew jumped on this idea and executed in record time.

Just a few weeks ago, my mornings were completely different. I was spending too much time surfing the Internet for the best content. I was subscribed to tons of newsletters I couldn’t keep track of. My inbox was a mess. Enter: Mailbrew. Now that I’m using it, my mornings are much smoother. Instead of scrambling to multiple sites to quickly scan for the best content, I now get to easily see the things that are most important to me in a digest I’ve designed myself.
