What does it cost to use ID.art?

Like many services, ID.art is a “freemium” model. You can sign up and start using ID.art for free, for as long as you like, and reap the benefits of many of the ID.art features including a Portfolio website for up to 20 Digital Twins, Certificates of Authenticity, Easy NFT minting, and more. What is the Global Art and Culture Register?

ID.art functions as a Global Art and Culture Register, a secure global record of provenance offering a recognized method to officially declare your artistic and cultural presence and document your works, items, or collections.

Can I add non-digital art and objects on ID.art?

Absolutely. ID.art is designed to accommodate all forms of art and cultural objects, whether digital or physical. In fact, ID.art is a great way to connect physical objects to the digital world whether they are paintings, sculptures, crafts, jewelry, trinkets, souvenirs or any collectibles. Our platform offers a way to document the authenticity and provenance of both digital and physical objects and share them with the world.

What is a .ART Digital Twin?

At ID.art, when you upload an item you are creating a .ART Digital Twin for that item, work of art, cultural object, collectible, etc. Each Digital Twin is a dedicated webpage that contains all the provenance information, the Certificate of Authenticity, and any images, videos, files or other related information you have added for that item. The Digital Twin adds immeasurable context and value to the original object. The Digital Twin mirrors the object and ads the story and information and details that brings an object to life and creates its true value. With a unique URL, and an easily shared link and QR Code, the .ART Digital Twin is the perfect bridge between the physical and the digital. Your .ART Digital Twin follows the original wherever it may be displayed or presented.

What is a Unique .ART Digital ID?

Each user and item (Twin) on ID.art receives a Unique Digital ID, that can be customized. For example, yourname.id.art and yourwork.id.art. These are active web addresses for each profile and Twin, but because they are subdomains of id.art, there are no registration or annual renewal fees for something.id.art. You can also connect a regular .ART domain (i.e. yourname.art or yourwork.art) to an ID.art profile or item. If you connect a domain to your ID.art profile, you can also create subdomains for your domain (i.e. worktitle.yourname.art). Because every Twin has a unique .ART Digital ID, every Twin has its own dedicated webpage hosting all of the provenance information, the COA, and any images, videos, files or other related information you have added for that item.

How do I mint an NFT with ID.art's Easy NFT Minting feature?

ID.art offers a streamlined, easy-to-use process for minting NFTs in just a few clicks, with no need to use Crypto Currency. You can pay any crypto transaction fees (gas) with a credit card, making it accessible for everyone to enter the NFT marketplace.

From your CONTROL PANEL select the NFTs tab or the Mint NFT icon on the lefthand Services area. You can mint NFTs for individual Twins or for Collections. Once you choose your Twins or Collection, you’ll be asked to connect your Crypto Wallet.

You can set the number of NFTs you want to mint and choose either the Ethereum or Polygon blockchain (we’ll show you what the gas fee will be, which fluctuates based on blockchain activity).

Choose your payment method from your stored credit cards or bank accounts. Complete the transaction and you’re done! In a short while (time depending on blockchain activity) your NFTs will be noted on your Twin and show up in the NFT section of your Control Panel.

BONUS: ID.art automatically adds your NFTs to OpenSea and Rarible, along with the full descriptions and Object ID information for the Twin. We do it for you!

How do Certificates of Authenticity work on ID.art?

When you create a Twin and add the Object ID metadata, ID.art will automatically create a digital Certificate of Authenticity for the Twin. They are created as PDF files that can be easily shared, downloaded, and printed. The COA includes a unique Certificate number, Issue Date of the Twin, Date the Certificate is generated, The URL for the Twin, an image of the Twin, a QR Code linking to the Twin, and all the Object ID metadata details, providing rich details of the item's provenance, enhancing its value and trustworthiness for collectors and buyers. For each Twin, you can decide to make the COA public, or private on request.

Free accounts receive the default COA template. PRO accounts can customize each COA adding a logo, signature, and more.

What is the Protect IP Rights feature?

This optional feature records the title, description, thumbnail image, and URL of your Twin(s) using Blockchain technology and stores it for 10 years. This time-stamped immutable record gives you an added layer of ownership proof should you ever need it. There is a fee of $50 per Twin for the 10-year blockchain storage (Discounted for PRO accounts).

What are Collections and how do I create one?

Collections are a very useful and powerful tool available to PRO members.

From your Control Panel select Twins Collections and then Add New Collection. You can make collections of Twins or of NFTs. To make a collection of Twins simply check the box next to each Twin you want to include in the collection. Then you can edit the thumbnail for the collection, add a title and description, click CREATE and you’re done.

Your collection is now in your Twins Collections area. Click the Eye (visible) icon next to the collection to publish it.

Your collections are incredibly easy to share with an automatically generated link and QR code that points to webpage that only contains the Twins in the collection. There is no easier way to share multiple artworks or objects at once without having to upload them all again. Plus, each Twin on the collection page links to all the detailed and rich content of the Twin. Imagine how easy it will be to submit a selection of your work to a gallery or fair – or send a select group of collectible items to a potential buyer. A few clicks and it is done!

Can I make my profile private so only people I share the link or QR code with can see it?

Yes, you can lock your profile so I is not visible to the public, You can also set each Twin to be public or private. To lock your profile, in your Control Panel view click the menu icon in the upper right and select Lock Your Profile.

How do I Verify my account?

If you have a PRO account you can verify your account by providing certain valid personal ID information. Click VERIFY next to your Profile name and follow the instructions.

What is a V-card?

Your V-card is a customizable digital ID card that links to your ID.art profile. It is created automatically with the bio information from your profile and includes your Profile image and a QR Code linking to your ID.art profile. Your V-card can be easily shared, downloaded, even printed. You can set your V-Card to be public or private.

Can I connect a domain that I already own to ID.art?

Yes, you can! You can find and register a .ART domain right from within ID.art (registration fees are discounted for PRO members). If you connect a domain to your profile you can then create subdomains on yourdomain.art for each Twin. You can also connect an existing domain. Click Connect Your Preferred Domain and follow these instructions.

Can I show prices and that my items are for sale?

Yes, of course! In your Control Panel view, select STATUS under My Assets. Here you will see all of your Twins.

You can set each one as FOR SALE or NOT FOR SALE and if For Sale you can set the currency and price. You can also choose “Show Price on Request”.

Every Twin has a CONTACT OWNER button that opens a form to send a message to you, the owner.

What does the red “ac 0.00” mean in he upper right navigation bar? Is this the ID.art Loyalty program?

Yes, you are correct! You will earn Loyalty points in the form of “Art Coins” for various activities and actions taken within the ID.art platform. Your AC Balance is shown in red in the upper right of the ID.art navigation bar when you are logged in. You will be able to redeem your “Art Coins” for discounts on various ID.art paid services and other benefits.

What are “Reels” in ID.art?

This feature lets you add short social media style videos to your Twins to help add context and tell the story behind the item. You can record a Reel directly to ID.art from your phone, or you can upload a pre-existing video. Reels appear in a fun, circular format on your Twin pages.

Can I connect my Social Accounts and other links such as marketplaces to my ID.art profile and Twins?

Yes! You can add links to your social accounts on your profile and on each individual Twin. Social links (to Instagram and elsewhere) are a great way to extend the reach of your Twins and related content.

With all the information contained in your ID.art profile and Twins, ID.art is a far more powerful platform for you to share than the typical “link in bio” product.
